About The Art Berries

The Art Berries is a London-based editorial platform with a defined critical lens on contemporary art. Founded in 2018 and based in London, the platform has evolved from a personal blog into a bilingual (English and Spanish) space for critical inquiry, cultural analysis, and strategic observation.

We do not view exhibitions as isolated events. We see them as signals within a wider cultural system, shaped by institutional decisions, audience behaviour, and the forces driving how artistic ideas travel across geographies and publics.

Our work operates across three areas:

Critical Writing: Our Reviews are grounded in direct encounters, situating individual shows within their broader historical, social, and institutional contexts.

Visual Documentation: Through our Encounters series, we capture the physical reality of exhibitions, focusing on scale, atmosphere, and audience interaction.

Global Pattern Recognition: Through our Context section, we track recurring themes, institutional shifts, and emerging patterns across the international exhibition landscape.

This editorial and analytical work also informs our consulting practice, where we work with galleries, institutions, and artists on international visibility, audience development, and cultural positioning.

Eva M. Sanchez | Founder & Editorial Director

Eva M. Sanchez is the founder and Editorial Director of The Art Berries. With fifteen years of experience in digital marketing strategy, audience intelligence, and specialist publishing, she brings analytical rigour and strategic depth to the contemporary art sector.

Her work sits at the intersection of editorial judgement and cultural strategy. Through the platform she has built a bilingual critical voice that tracks how artistic ideas circulate across institutions, geographies, and audiences. That same analytical lens informs her consulting practice, where she works with galleries, institutions, and artists on international visibility, audience development, and cultural positioning.

She is particularly focused on Spanish and Latin American contexts, where the gap between programme quality and international reach is most acute.

Teresa Wu | Art Director

Teresa is an artist and Artistic Director at The Art Berries, contributing to the Encounters series since the platform’s early development.

Trained in fine art in China and the United Kingdom, she brings a painter’s sensitivity to image-making and spatial interaction, supporting the aesthetic of the Encounters archive through considered, context-aware visual narratives. Working from Eva’s exhibition photography, Teresa carries out the final edit of each encounter, ensuring the documentation of artworks remains attentive, embodied and faithful to the viewer’s experience.

Family presence

From time to time, our children appear in selected photographs within our Encounters documentation, reflecting an early and intuitive way of engaging with art and reinforcing our belief that art is a shared experience across generations.
